Според водещи инвеститори, в днешно време, количеството на среброто в световен мащаб е 4 млрд. унции и е едва 1,6 пъти повече от количеството на златото ( 2,5 млрд. унции). Като се има предвид цените на двата метала, тези данни показват най-ясно колко подценен актив е среброто.
Среброто притежава най-висока електро – и топлопроводимост сред металите и лесно се поддава на обработка. Поради тези си качества има приложение в редица индустрии – производство на батерии, фотоволтаична индустрия, електроника и др.
Поради ограничената си наличност в земната кора, все по-труден добив, както и ниският процент на рециклиране, дефицитът на среброто е все по-изразен.

Given current undervaluations of gold and silver bullion relative to other financial assets and real estate, now is likely a perfect time to be buying bullion as a longterm store of value (i.e., dependable money over human history).“
